Peeking out of the Nook

Out of control with two friends, rampaging through our little home... The scene got so intense, that I had to retire to my tiny safe corner of the world: "The nook". A tye-dyed refuge from all the world's unpleasantries.
When I went to leave, having calmed down, I pulled back the tarp covering the exit and the movement attracted our cat, Sweet Leaf, who jumped at the strings dangling from the tarp-door. The unexpected cat assault startled me, so I yelped and reared back, flailing my arms wildly!
